Prostheses Reimbursement Program

Thanks to the Medicare-backed 'External Breast Prostheses Reimbursement Program' mastectomy patients in Australia can claim a reimbursement of up to $400 for a new or replacement external breast prostheses, every two years.

To be eligible for the claim yourself, you must:

• be a permanent resident of Australia
• be eligible for Medicare
• have had a mastectomy as a result of breast cancer.
